This design brief was focused on making a collage in Adobe Photoshop out of mostly household objects or images you had on your phone.
My phone had a lot of traveling pictures I had collected in Prague, Tokyo, and Berlin so I wanted to do a collage dedicated to the late, great chef, Anthony Bourdain who is famous for his travel shows. I have a background in culinary arts and Chef Bourdain was a hero of mine who inspired me in many different ways -- to cook, to travel, to write and most importantly, to squeeze the most out of life!
The images in the collage are from various photos from my excursions, objects I've collected during my journeys (the knife is a handmade Santoku from Tsukiji market in Tokyo I own), my personal customized apron, and even food I made during my culinary career!
I wanted the collage to tell a story, but keep a sense of mystery and intrigue. I love that there is a lot going on, but the collage still tells a story and has a focal point. It's very visually satisfying.
Rest in power, chef.
